Yuyuantan Park in Beijing:

Just as Breathtaking as Central Park in NYC

@ Qi Sun

Though not nearly as large as NYC’s Central Park (843 acres), Beijing’s Yuyuantan Park (340 acres) is an iconic, historical attraction in China. The park’s name literally translates to 'Jade Deep Pond,’ as it contains a sprawling body of water.

Emperors and civilians alike have enjoyed this major urban park in Beijing for centuries (since the Qing dynasty).

The best time of the year to visit is during early spring, to catch the sakura trees in full blossom, and autumn, when the park’s foliage take on fiery hues.
