Xiaomi’s Redmi Drops Limited-edition Phones Inspired by Harry Potter

Attention, wizards and witches! Xiaomi’s Redmi has released limited-edition Harry Potter smartphones for its newly-launched Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

Redmi is a subsidiary of the Chinese electronics company Xiaomi, producing entry-level and mid-range devices.

The special series boasts many magical elements. The packaging looks like a book of spells and comes adorned with an emblem featuring four Hogwarts houses’ symbols.

The lightning-bolt symbol on the red magnetic buckle resembles the iconic scar on Harry’s forehead.

The packaging also includes a few stickers, a pin made in the shape of the Platform 9¾ sign, and an envelope from Hogwarts.

In addition to the well-designed packaging, the Harry Potter edition smartphones also feature the Hogwarts school crest, with a customized phone case showing half of the phone’s back.

Unique look aside, the special mobile phone boasts hardware and software that is essentially the same as the regular Note 12 Turbo.

This is not the first time the Harry Potter franchise has collaborated with Chinese brands. In July 2022, the bakery Holiland introduced limited-edition mooncakes, with some shaped like chocolate frogs, Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, and Hedwig the owl.
