Hit Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day recently announced that a movie remake is underway and released a 15-second teaser. The remake is believed to feature the same cast, including Greg Hsu, Alice Ko, and Patrick Shih. The exact release date has yet to be announced.
The time-slip romance starts by revealing that the hero tragically passed away in a plane crash a year ago.
Through mysterious circumstances, the heroine travels to the year 1998. Waking up in the body of a high school student, she meets a classmate who perfectly resembles her late boyfriend.
The romance drama might also be considered a thriller, as a murderer waits to be unmasked.
Someday or One Day was a global hit when released in Taiwan in 2019 and accumulated billions of views. The original series is also available on Disney+ and Netflix.
Netflix Korea has also made its own version called A Time Called You, which stars the likes of Ahn Hyo-seop, Jeon Yeo-been, and Kang Hoon. The drama is reported to air in 2023, but the exact date has yet to be announced.
