Young users have taken on lifestyle platform Xiahongshu to share pictures of themselves celebrating not an offer from a prestigious company, but instead their forever departure from it.
'Resignation party' staples include: giant red and yellow banners, lifesize posters of the lucky resignee, cake, flowers, and even a funny sash for women.
The trend has become so widespread that the hotpot chain Haidilao now offers a 'resignation party package' to those who wish to celebrate in one of their stores.
