Mischelle Moy’s Dreamlike Photography Explores her Chinese Roots

Born in NYC in a family of Chinese immigrants, photographer Mischelle Moy has come to embrace the process of exploring her family’s heritage.

In recent years, she’s sought out opportunities to support Asian-American and women-owned brands and small businesses, lending her unique, high-effort style to each shoot.

For each shoot Mischelle experiments with unique textures, fabrics, toys, food, and vintage memorabilia.

The carefully-woven threads ofAmerican experience and Asian identity in her work are immediately recognizable by anyone.
