McDonald’s China Collabs With Bandai Namco on Big Mac-inspired Gundam

McDonald’s China has collaborated with Japanese video game and toy company Bandai Namco on limited-edition products only available from April 26 to May 23.

The most exciting element of this collab is an exclusive Big Mac-themed RX-78-2 Gundam model sold at 129 RMB (about 19 USD) each, limited to 50,000 pieces.

Moreover, McDonald’s Big Mac meal and some of its other meal sets will come in themed packaging and with a random limited-edition card that can be used for the mobile game Gundam Supreme Battle. There are 12 card types in total.

Fifty Gundam statues have been displayed at designated McDonald’s restaurants nationwide to create a more immersive experience for fans.

Among them, two locations in Shanghai and Shenzhen, respectively, have been turned into Gundam-themed flagship stores with Big Mac-themed Gundam statues and other special events taking place.
