Seventy-four-year-old Maye Musk is a hit in China — and not just because she’s Elon Musk’s mother.
On March 18, she headed to China to promote her already-bestselling book, A Woman Makes a Plan: Advice for a Lifetime of Adventure, Beauty, and Success, which was translated and released in China in 2020.
Maye Musk is a model and dietician; her memoir explores how she navigates her life and career and the wisdom she has gathered along the way.
On her trip, she visited several cities, including Guangzhou, Xiamen, Chengdu, Suzhou, and Shanghai.
In those cities, she stopped by Tesla offices, held book signings, and gave speeches.
“She is the most good-looking old person I have ever seen… Everyone respects her because she gave birth to Musk, a very good son,” commented one Weibo user.
Chinese netizens followed her visit avidly.
Fans also loved her white suit from the Chinese brand Erdos, which she wore while in Suzhou.
Her trip ended on April 2 with a tour of Tesla Shanghai.
