Martial Arts Town in China Turns Contemporary Art Destination

Foshan might sound familiar to fans of martial arts movies — that’s because it's the home of Ip Man, grandmaster of the Wing Chun school of martial arts, and mentor to the great Bruce Lee.

But Foshan is also becoming a powerhouse of contemporary art, and one of the best places to be visually stimulated is at the He Art Museum.

Designed by architect Tadao Ando, the building is centered around the theme of 'harmony,' and sees strong visual play between various elements like water, light, air, and stone.
