“This is not outside of China!” wrote a food blogger on Xiaohongshu. “It’s a new Mexican restaurant in Shanghai.”
She was referring to Los Pacos, a recently-opened Mexican restaurant with two locations in Shanghai.
“This restaurant is so Mexico,” wrote another social media user.
The first Los Pacos location opened in Vanke Mall in Qingpu district in October of last year.
The other one, located in Changning district, is more popular for its desert-inspired decor. The eatery has been gaining momentum now that it is getting warm enough to dine outside.
Diners can imagine themselves in Cabo or Cancun while scarfing down Los Pacos’ selection of Mexico-inspired edibles.
Shanghai has a large selection of Mexican restaurants, but Los Pacos is setting itself apart through its charming, airy decor.
