Researchers in China have revealed that the country’s Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) may have discovered evidence of alien life in the cosmos.
In June, China’s Ministry of Science and Tech announced that it had detected signals that its team considers “cases of possible technological traces and extraterrestrial civilizations from outside the Earth.”
An official with FAST has also stated that it is “likely” the signal has an extraterrestrial origin.
Unfortunately for those who believe “the truth is out there,” international experts are pouring cold water on the sensational announcement from China’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
Dan Werthimer, a Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) researcher in the U.S., told Live Science that the signals “are from [human] radio interference, and not from extraterrestrials.”
