Getting Lost in Beijing’s  Phoenix Centre

This multipurpose building in Beijing is open to the public, but be careful not to take the wrong turn in this vertical maze!

Colloquially known as the Phoenix Center, the Phoenix International Media Center in Beijing is famously known as an experimental building designed by a local firm.

The unusual building is modeled after the Möbius strip, which has an abstract shape and a non-orientable surface.

In addition to two office towers, the Phoenix Center contains a public space with continuous stairs, winding pathways, and sky ramps.
