Colossal Art Sculptures in Shanghai Mall Make Shoppers Feel Tiny

Suhewan Wanxiang Tiandi, a shopping mall in downtown Shanghai, has collaborated with UCCA Edge and AllRightsReserved to turn its public space into an art exhibition.

The most prominent installation is arguably ‘Walk On!’ (迈上!), which displays a boy with an elephant backpack taking a giant step to the second floor.

These sculptures of a mother and baby elephant have also attracted much attention.

One of the most-photographed sculptures is ‘Alice.’ Perched on top of the mall, she represents the courage to explore the unknown.

There is also ‘Slow Motion’ (慢镜头), which comprises 41 Fresnel lenses and combines distortion and reality.
