Chinese Celebs Dazzle at  Cannes Film Festival 

Cinema meets style at the annual Cannes Film Festival, where actors, directors, and industry professionals come together to see new films, and to be seen at the glitzy gathering. Several Chinese celebrities were in attendance this year, and their looks did not disappoint.

GONG LI

The legendary Gong Li returned to the red carpet after a long absence, wearing a classy black turtleneck and skirt combo from Alaïa. Back in 2019, she became the first Asian woman to win the festival's annual Women in Motion award.

FAN BINGBING

Despite past controversies, film star Fan Bingbing stunned onlookers with her Christopher Bu ballgown. The tiger-printed dress was a hit, incorporating Chinese motifs into an elegant package.

GAO YE

In attendance for the drama film Monster, Gao Ye wore a rich green gown and stacked pearl necklace. Before starring in the recent C-drama crime hit The Knockout, Gao was known for her role in The Idea City.

As the main lead for one of Canne’s most exciting premiers, Only the River Flows, Zhu attended the festival red carpet in a classic black suit. Weibo netizens praised his handsome looks, which landed him on GQ France’s list of best-dressed celebrities.

ZHANG YUQI

Wearing Tony Ward Couture, Zhang Yuqi stunned the Cannes red carpet on her way to the Monster premiere. Zhang, who is best known for her role as the lover of a respected village elder in White Deer Plain, first drew eyes at Cannes back in 2013, wearing a green ballgown.

GUAN XIAOTONG

Considered one of the ‘Four Dan Actresses’ born after 1995, Guan is one of China’s most beloved starlets. Wearing a Valentino gown, Guan was in attendance for the Jeanne du Barry red carpet.
