‘Goose Goose Duck,’ a Viral Game Similar to ‘Among Us,’ Makes Comeback

Released by Gaggle Studios in October 2021, the video game Goose Goose Duck has recently gained global attention, especially in China and South Korea, thanks to gaming livestreamers and a member of K-pop band BTS.

In the free-to-play game, which has a similar premise and visuals as the 2018 online multiplayer social deduction game Among Us, players must collaborate with their ‘fellow geese’ to identify malicious birds among them.

Goose Goose Duck includes... - More than 5 site maps - Over 5 game modes - Customized accessories for your character (think hats, shirts, pets, cosmetics, and even farts!) - At least 30 sub-roles (you can choose to be a camouflaged villain).

However, due to a sudden spike in the game’s number of users and cyberattacks, the game's server went down multiple times. Its developers had to temporarily take the game offline for maintenance.

After three days of server outages, Goose Goose Duck finally came back online on January 12. Chinese fans have been celebrating the news on microblogging platform Weibo, and a related hashtag had almost 33 million views at the time of writing.
